Haitian Heritage and Friends of Haiti

In January 2018, I was the copywriter for a team of students in the Elon iMedia graduate program who traveled to Cap-Haitien, Haiti, as part of the Elon University’s “Project for the Public Good” Fly-In course.

Our role was to refresh and rebuild a website for our client — Haitian Heritage and Friends of Haiti (hhfoh.org). As the copywriter, I was in charge of setting up and conducting interviews for the website, creating all the copy for the site, and developing a social media plan for the client. To see our presentation, click here. The site was created in collaboration with my teammates, Sarah Donahue, Nick Cook, Kyndall Dysard and Gardy Swengbe.

Videography (HHFOH)

These videos were shot for educational purposes as part of the M.A. in Interactive Media program at Elon University, NC while completing COM 570: Interactive Project for the Public Good in Haiti. The interviews in each video were conducted by me while the editing was done by Gardy Swengbe.

Social Media (HHFOH)

In order to keep the community updated on HHFOH, Kyndall Dysard and I,created an Instagram account, Linkedin and revamped the client's Twitter account. I was in charge of creating a social media guide for the client and social media content. Kyndall and I worked together to create posts. Posts were scheduled using Hootsuite and graphics were created using Adobe Illustrator.
